PopBasic Jane Collection is up

Standard

Hi everyone!

What is  ?

Popbasic is a startup fashion/beauty company that curates microcollections that help you build staples in your wardrobe. There are typically 3 items (always one clothing piece and one accessory piece). All of these items are manufactured/branded as Popbasic.  Each micocollection is limited edition. There are 10 previous collections (Beta, Sherwood, Salut!, Serendipity, Lost, Rubi, Melodie, SundayAshbury, and the Paloma). The current collection is the Jane Collection, but you can still buy the Paloma.

I have to say, their items are really good quality and go great with what you have in your closet already. They’re very versatile, and pair well with current items. My pain point with this is that the costs of this sub are kind of high, but they do $15 off with referrals (see the bottom if you’d like the code).

The Jane Collection

The Three Items in this Collection:

  1. Jane Blush Tee
  2. Black Pencil Skirt
  3.  2 Looped Necklace
  4. Small gift from partnering company?

Cost: $75

Thoughts

From receiving their last collection, I can say that the quality of the items is really good. All of these are manufactured as PopBasic’s own brand, so I can’t tell the real cost/value of the items. I can say that $75 is expensive, but manageable with $15 off. The black tank top I received last collection is a great staple, and I’m sure the pink one could be a great staple for building a collection as well. I’m not digging the pencil skirt, but that’s because I’m way too short for them, so they tend to look very awkward on me. If your body type is right for pencil skirts, I think this is a great collection. Also the necklace looks pretty. Though it kind of reminds me of keeping someone’s ring on your necklace… maybe that is the point.

The shirt is also longer in the back (which I personally like). That’s good for pairing with leggings or whatever else, but when tucked in won’t be noticeable.

I think this looks like a good spring collection, and can be very easily worn for school presentations, work, or what not. 🙂

[New!] PopBasic Paloma Collection is up

Hi everyone!

What is  ?

Popbasic is a startup fashion/beauty company that curates microcollections that help you build staples in your wardrobe. There are typically 3 items (always one clothing piece and one accessory piece). All of these items are manufactured/branded as Popbasic.  Each micocollection is limited edition. There are 9 previous collections (Beta, Sherwood, Salut!, Serendipity, Lost, Rubi, Melodie, Sunday and the Ashbury). The current collection is the Paloma!

The Paloma Collection

The Three Items in this Collection:

  1. Basic White Tee
  2. Grey and White Striped Scarf
  3. White Leather Clutch with Gold Zipper

Cost: $85

Thoughts

From receiving their last collection, I can say that the quality of the items is really good. All of these are manufactured as PopBasic’s own brand, so I can’t tell the real cost/value of the items. I can say that $85 is a pretty steep price to pay for this collection, but I can see the clutch being worth it. The black tank top I received last collection is a great staple, and I’m sure the white one could be a great staple for building a collection as well. I’m loving the infinity scarf more and more each time I see it. The clutch is a great neutral basic that will match any collection.

That being said it looks good for spring, but the scarf is definitely iffy for summer!

Also I’m laughing a little, I notified them of the issue with the HTML version of these badges. They’re working now!

Pop Basic Sneak Peak and $15 Code!

Standard

Hi everyone!

I hope you enjoyed my last post about . You can find it here. If you weren’t sure about next month, here’s a sneak peak to get you excited!

The sneak peak!

There are three items next month:

  1. A grey leather bag with rose gold hardware
  2. A white tee
  3. A light grey and white stripe snood

What is a snood you say? (I had no idea what this was until I searched for it.) A snood is kind of like an infinity scarf, but you can put it over your head:

The code – click right here.

I originally thought it would be a code you put in, but it’s actually a referral code. You get $15 on your first purchase, so it can apply to whichever collection you would like.

Hi everyone!

Maddy, the co-founder of Popbasic, sent me a mini collection to review!

What I received

This is the fun part! I came home from work to a box at my door! How exciting!

I love the little details on the side matching the logo and how compact this box is. There is no wasted space. I’m definitely going to reuse this box. This is the side of the box:

It has the overall mission of Popbasic on the side, to help curate your style! So I wanted to stop staring at the box and open it up!

Ooh lots of things, let’s lay them out!

There is actually a fair amount of extra items in addition to the pieces in the collection.

But what do the clothes actually look like?

These are the three items laid out. The skirt is wrinkled, but there are provided care instructions on how to get the wrinkles out. (!!! What a good idea!)

I got both the top and skirt in XS.

This was the provided card with information about the pieces. These descriptions are also above in a more readable format. There was also this cover:

The cover had a really cute note on the back:

🙂 There were also Polyvore collections for the card. (sorry for the left blurriness, my iPhone has been acting up recently)

Then I saw this card….

and was like that’s nice? But I flipped it over and saw this!

Woo BOGO tights! You can use the code POPTIGHTS for a free pair of tights at Wade & Belle’s!

Then there is more! There was a packet with a bunch of different fragrances from Pinrose:

And now out of the pocket!

Wow that was a lot!

Here is everything laid out

My 2 looks

Look 1: One with all the items

I paired it with a brown smokey eye and red lips!

Look 2: Daytime

Overall thoughts

I really like this micro collection. I was pretty tentative about getting a long skirt because I am very short! It fits nicely and works well with a bunch of different shirts. I also love the material of the shirt, it feels silky and really nice. Definitely feels like good quality. I’m really thankful that Maddy let me review this box. I would definitely recommend it.

If you like this box and want to get one – I have $15 codes to give out. (I don’t get anything for them.) Just leave a message below if you would like one!
